Bruce Lunsford, the Democratic nominee for the senate seat in Kentucky, has released a clever ad that uses footage from the Republican convention against incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell.

The senate race in Kentucky is at best a second or third tier race. The RCP average of the polls shows McConnell with a 13 point lead over Lunsford.
McConnell is the Senate Minority Leader and carries the advantages of incumbency. He also has a substantial war chest. Kentucky is a reliably Republican state in the presidential race.
The Democrats would love to avenge Daschle's loss to Thune but Lunsford has a long way to go in making the race competitive.
