Planned Parenthood's Palin Bonanza

An anonymous email urging readers to donate money to Planned Parenthood has been circulating throughout the country. The email asks readers to make a contribution on behalf of Sarah Palin, who in turn will get a card from Planned Parenthood thanking her each time a donation is made in her stead.
According to the The Caucus, the scheme's been wildly successful.
So far, the scheme seems to be getting a strong response. As of Friday, Planned Parenthood had taken in $802,678 in donations from 31,313 people, said a spokesman for the organization, Tait Sye. More than two-thirds of the individuals are first-time donors to Planned Parenthood, Mr. Sye said, and money came in from all 50 states.
Planned Parenthood plans on sending out the thank-you notes starting next week.

I wonder if Gov. Palin will appreciate the personalized thank-you notes.

With electronic communication rampant and oh so impersonal, who wouldn't apreciate old fashioned snail mail? But if Gov. Palin prefers electronic modes of communication, maybe Planned Parenthood can email the thank-you notes to her Yahoo account. Oh wait, that account's only to be used for official state business.

No comments so far from the McCain campaign. They are probably busy planning another campaign "suspension" to get Gov. Palin out of Thursday's debate.
